General Resources

Encounter with God
This daily devotional from Scripture Union takes you through the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice in five years, reading 10 to 20 verses per day. Each entry includes opening and concluding prayers, a scripture reading, and a meditation.

Daily Office Lectionary
In addition to guiding Anglican worship, the Book of Common Prayer can be a wonderful aid for private devotions. This website offers the full two-year cycle of Daily Office readings from the 1979 U.S. Book of Common Prayer. Each day the lectionary includes Psalms and passages from the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Gospels. The lectionary follows a calendar organized around the seasons of the Church year: Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost.

The Trinity Mission
The centerpiece of this online mission is the Audio Daily Office, a podcast of Morning and Evening Prayer in the Anglican prayerbook tradition. Each prayer service includes a Psalm, Old and New Testament readings, scripture-based Canticles, and other elements. The full text accompanies the podcasts.
